Scope of work
Network Development
- The Scope of Works Survey, Designing / Planning, Construction of Manholes & installation, Supply & warehousing of materials, Testing & maintenance of all the existing infrastructure.
- Civil Construction such as Duct Laying, Construction of Joint Boxes, installation / demolishing of pedestal bases and maintenance of all the existing infrastructures.
- Network installation activities such as Fiber Optic and Copper cable installation and termination, structured cabling, INDOOR & OUTDOOR FDH installation, Customer premise cabling and termination of equipment etc., are necessary to complete the network line plant development, in order to enable Service Provisioning.
- Network Corrective Maintenance (Planned and unplanned): Attend and repair the network during breakdown or damages.
- Power up, configuration, testing and commissioning.
- Maintenance Activities: Fault attendance and troubleshooting of Access Network Equipment, periodic preventive & corrective maintenance, mobile link provisioning and network optimization.
- The contract Validity period of Two (2) years from the date of LOA 23/10/2014
- FTTH Development Projects – FTTH Design & Installation, Home Pass business, Home pass Access, Outside Plant (OSP) & Inside Plant (ISP) covering all aspects required for implementing a smooth roll-out of the Gigabit- capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) and all services shall be offered. This shall ensure that FTTH technology can be used most efficiently in future and ensure the network planned.
Telecom Civil Infrastructure Development
Trenching / Excavation, Duct laying, installation of Warning Tape and Draw Rope, backfilling, Concreting surrounding works, Installation of Joint Chamber / Telecom Manholes, BTMG, Marker post installation, Erection of FDH /Cabinet.
Type of Tenancies and Definitions
- “Residential Tenants” refers to private users in their homes. Residential users may live in “MDU” (Multi-Dwelling Units such as apartments / condominiums) OR SFU (Single-Family Dwelling Units such as stand-alone houses / Villas / Land property)
- Business Tenants – refers to large (corporate), medium and Small business, Small Office-Home-Office business (SOHO), users, Types: Whole building owned by one customer, open floor: many offices on floor (ONT in each office).
- Home / Business Pass – Fiber terminated in the Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) in case of building or drop closure in case of villas from the access point of presence (POP) without an Optical Line Terminal (ONT) port allocated.
- Active Home / Business Pass – Fiber terminated in the FDH in case of building or drop closure in case of villas from the access POP with an active OLT port terminated.
- Home / Business Ready – Fiber is extended in to the customer’s premise and terminated on a Rosette, with an active OLT port terminated.

- POLE ERECTION AND Overhead work section – Erection of Poles, Strengthening of Poles, dressing of poles, Testing the condition of Poles in SITU – Hammer Test / Prodding Test / Boring Test. Hammer test, the pole is tapped with a Hammer Jointer 1 lb the sound obtained, The Prodding Test consists of Prodding the Pole with a Sharp pointed tool. The Boring test is used in exceptional cases where the Hammer test raises doubts regarding the condition of the pole.
- Pole Depth – the depth at which a pole should be set in the ground varies with the character of the soil. Under the average conditions, poles up to 15m in length should be set to a depth of 1.2 to 1.8m according to their lengths. In made-up grounds or where the soil is exceptionally loose, increased depth should be allowed.

- Supply of Ductile Iron Hinged and Lockable Carriage Way No.2 (JRC12) Frame & Cover
- Renew and Replace Existing Frame and Cover with New Hinged and Lockable Carriage Way No.2 Frame and cover.
- Recovery of Existing Frame and Cover from the site of new installation and return to Mahawi Camp defence store
Scope of work:
Structured Cabling, supply & installation of Cat-6 cables, Patch panels / Jack panel / cables manager, termination of each data cable in Input – Outbox, DATA Center 25 Cabinets arrange the cables and equipment, labeling all the patch cords and cables, maintenance of OFC links, Testing and commissioning.
For Providing expert outsourcing services to manage various engineering services by the fully equipped team for Etisalat UAE Network. SERVICE PROVIDER – CONTRACT Period – 2 Years from the date of signing the contract, ie, 29th september’2014.
Duct Laying works, construction of Telecom Manholes, supply & Installation of Ductile Iron Frame and cover with accessories.
PROVISIONING OF VIDEO (IPTV), DATA (HIS, IPVPN, PRI etc.), and Voice Services through the FIBER TO THE HOME (FTTH) Network in the UAE. Contract Period – 2 Years from the date of LOA ie, 19/01/2011.
To carry out the Service Provisioning of all services through FTTH Network and Associated works in various areas of AUH.
- The Contractor undertakes to carry out the Cable Installation and Associated works for deploying “FTTH” in various regions in UAE.
- Etisalat’s Line Plant Cabling work procedures and INDOOR Plant Installation.
- Survey building, collect information on Building wiring, route and material requirements (building less than 120 Home passes and above 120 Home Passes buildings)
- Service Migration Activities
- FTTH Basic Architecture – OLT – Optical Line Terminal, Splitter – Optical Passive Splitters, ONT – Optical Network Terminal, FDH – Fiber Distribution Hub – Layout of cables at FDH and Drop Cables connectivity. FTTH Network from the FDH to the customer premises is the Direct Fiber.
- 2 Fiber Drop cable is pulled from the FDH to each of the individual Flats / Office / Shop in the building.
- Pre-Installation Survey – to identify the splitter location mentioned in the design, vacant riser tray from the FDH-Splitter location to carry FO Cables to individual flats.
Fiber Optic Cable works including outdoor Fiber cable pulling, Ribbon Splicing, ODF / Splitter installation, Termination and Testing.
Coaxial Cable laying and Satellite Antenna Installation at Customer premises in HFC and Broadband wireless coverage areas in UAE.
- Drop cable installations and Civil works associated with the Hybrid Fiber Optic Coaxial Broad Band Network (HFC BBN) and Broad Band Wireless Access Network (BWAS)
- Installation of HFC & BWA customer drops in MDU premises.
- Installation of HFC & BWA customer drops in SFU premises.
- Civil works for HFC & BWA customer drops in SFU & MDU premises.
